Smart Choice® Sponsors High Point Signature Event

Smart Choice® was the presenting sponsor of the recent High Point “Sun and Stars Signature Event” for High Point Regional Health System. On September 26, community supporters of the hospital gathered for a day of golf and lunch at Willow Creek Golf Course with world class golfers, featuring: two-time Masters winner Bernhard Langer, eleven-time PGA winner Andy Bean, Tarheel Classic & Allianz Championship Winner Mike Goodes, and British Amateur Cup Winner and High Point native Drew Weaver. This was followed by an evening of music at High Point Country Club, with a dinner and concert by five-time Grammy winner Christopher Cross.

The event raised over $100,000 for the hospital’s cardiac and cancer centers. “We were delighted to be the presenting sponsor for this prestigious event,” said CEO Doug Witcher. “This is a community that has given so much to us, and I see it as our duty and a pleasure to give back in any way that we can. I’m so excited that this event was able to raise funding for the cardiac and cancer units.”
