Heart Strides

Smart Choice^® has decided to sponsor the 34th Annual Bud Kivett Memorial Golf Tournament. The tournament is a partnership between the City of High Point and High Point Regional Health System, and is used to raise awareness about heart and pulmonary disease. Each year attracts more than 200 players and in the last two years has raised over $60,000 for High Point Regional Hospitals “Heart Strides” Program.

Heart Strides, born in 1985, helps more than 300 cardiac patients a year rehabilitate themselves. More than half of those patients require full or partially paid tuition to remain in the program. Heart disease is America’s #1 killer among men and women. Almost 50 percent of the population will develop heart and cardiovascular disease.

In addition to sponsoring the Heart Strides program, Smart Choice’s Workout For Charity Program recently completed a two week period dedicated to raising money for the American Heart Association.

The Smart Choice^® Agents Program is a wholly-owned program of Worldwide Insurance Network, Inc. (WIN), headquartered in High Point, North Carolina. There are almost 2,900 agents in 31 states in the program.
