Marketing your agency to attract new business has never been easier than it is in 2018. Why? Because we’re all incredibly well-connected in today’s age via multiple social media platforms.
In this agency marketplace, there are several things you can do to ensure your agency continues to grow.
First, be mindful of your online persona and keep it consistent with your brand across all social media platforms. Decide how you will position yourself in the community, and then stick with that position. Make sure you are putting out the same message across every online platform, and that you’re regularly updating them all. You must also be responsive – don’t create a presence on a social platform and then never check or update it! Part of being responsive is monitoring what customers are saying to you and about you online. If prospects see a customer contact you via Facebook, and you respond in a timely fashion, they’ll be impressed!
Second, be helpful to your customers in a way that keeps you at the forefront of their minds – this will get you more than customer loyalty, it’ll also get you referrals and site traffic. You simply need to utilize the knowledge base you have already accumulated to create content and share it with your community! The more helpful and relevant the information is, the more likely people are to share it with each other. This can dramatically increase your agency’s footprint!
It’s also worth your time and money to invest in an automated marketing system. With all of the roles you fill every day in your agency – manager, producer, marketer, salesman, etc. – it’s nearly impossible for you to keep up with each and every customer. An automated system is invaluable to your success, because it will enable to you to schedule communications ahead of time for existing customers and prospects. Renewal reminders, birthday cards, sales follow-up emails – these systems are robust and can really make your day-to-day life easier!
Most importantly, marketing doesn’t have to be expensive or time consuming anymore – because the best way to market yourself is to be available and visible, and technology has made it easy and cheap to do both!
