State Director

 Jason Morris is the Smart Choice State Director for Louisiana and Mississippi, a role he has held since 2016. His insurance career dates back to 1995, when he began as an agent with Prudential and Pruco Securities. He also brings the perspective of an independent agency owner, having owned Morris Insurance Group in Baton Rouge since 2009.

His background spans personal and commercial insurance, including auto, homeowners, property, liability, E&O, and commercial coverage. With decades of industry experience, agency ownership, and Smart Choice leadership, Jason understands firsthand the challenges independent agents face, and the market access, resources, and support they need to grow.
