I remember when I first got my hands on a smartphone. I had been using a flip phone for years, and the idea of switching to a touch screen was overwhelming.
I resisted it for as long as I could, thinking, "Why would I need the internet on my phone?"
Now, of course, I can't imagine life without it, but it took time, patience, and a lot of mistakes.
As the insurance industry continues to evolve at an unprecedented pace, I am reminded of my resistance to the smartphone. Just like I eventually realized I couldn’t avoid the smartphone revolution, we in the insurance industry are realizing that we must embrace the shift to digital platforms.
Our businesses must continually evolve and innovate to thrive as consumers are increasingly tech-savvy and expect quick, efficient, and personalized service.
